Enroll in a Payment Plan

  1. Open your billing portal online.
    • Students: Login to My Illinois State, click the Finance tab from the top navigation bar, and select "Pay/Review My Account".
    • Authorized Users: Navigate to the Student Accounts Homepage and login with your email and password by selecting Authorized User Login.
  2. Click "Payment Plans" from the top navigation bar.
  3. Select "Enroll Now".
  4. Select the current term from the drop down menu, then click "Select".
  5. Verify the correct term is selected before clicking "Select".
  6. Information regarding your payment plan amounts and fixed due dates will be displayed. Please note that the payments are for the amount due after any anticipated Financial Aid has applied.
  7. Click "Continue".
  8. The Payment Plan Agreement will be displayed. Please review the terms and conditions before selecting the checkbox at the bottom of the agreement.
  9. Select "Print Agreement" to keep a copy for your records before clicking "Continue".
  10. After enrolling, your plan will be displayed. You may schedule your payments by selecting the icon on the installment line or pay the next installment immediately by clicking the option at the bottom of the screen.

Important Notes

Study Abroad fees billed through Illinois State University are not eligible for a payment plan.

All eligible students are automatically enrolled in a payment plan when the charges come on to the account before the first installment. To opt out of the payment plan, please pay your balance in full before the third installment date.

There is a one-time payment plan convenience fee associated with utilizing the plan. The fee is $35 for Fall and Spring semesters and $30 for the Summer semester. This fee will not be displayed in the amount due until it is placed on the account after the third installment date.

Payment plans are only available for current semester charges. All charges must be paid by the final installment date to avoid a registration block.

The payment amounts are subject to change according to any billing changes on the account such as added/dropped classes, Financial Aid adjustments, health service charges, etc. If you see your billing amount has changed, please view your current activity to look for adjustments.
